Classes

SRAL offers multi-day fee-based classes taught by professional artists from the region and elsewhere. All classes are offered in conjunction with Green Valley Recreation, Inc. and will be held at the SRAL studio, 921 W. Rio Fuerte in the Santa Rita Springs social center.
The following classes are available for sign-up now in GVR's Winter 2017 class schedule.

Paintings the Soul - painting an Animal portrait in Watercolor
Learn how to paint a beautiful portrait that really captures the feeling and the personality of the animal you are portraying.
Full time artist for 30 years, Michaelin is the author of "Watercolor for the Fun of it, Painting People", she is contributing author of "Watercolor Portraits, The Essential Guide", and is featured in "Splash 9", two books by Karlyn Holman, and the latest book by Nancy Reyner. She has illustrated 10 Children's Books.
Michaelin owned and operated her own gallery and teaching studio in Minnesota for 18 years, where she taught 3 - 4 classes a week. She also traveled and taught workshops all over the US, Mexico and Guatemala.
Since she relocated to Green Valley, she is focusing on collage, charcoal, and watercolor. The colors of the west have totally inspired her.
Michaelin's watercolors and collages have won numerous awards nationally, and have earned her signature memberships in The Louisiana Watercolor Society, The Taos National Society of Watercolor and Silver Signature in Artist's Changing Tomorrow. She has been in several national Publications, including Southwest Art, Watercolor Magic(Artist's to watch in 2002), Western Art Collector and Artist's Magazine.
