COMMUNICATIONS POLICY FOR NON-SRAL NEWS

The Santa Rita Art League of GVR is part of a growing, vibrant community of artists, art organizations and educational opportunities. To support that community yet remain focused on SRAL activities, SRAL offers its internal communications and website to promote art-related activities and opportunities in the Santa Cruz Valley region.

SRAL requires this information in advance of any mentioned dates or registration deadlines. All submissions should be submitted via e-mail to the SRAL First Vice President/Communications Coordinator.

Guidelines for SRAL current members

To share news of their artistic accomplishments, SRAL invites current members to submit succinct announcements about upcoming shows of their work, awards they have received, educational workshops/classes they will be teaching elsewhere, and similar news. SRAL may edit information to fit the available space. To supplement the published information, SRAL encourages members to post fliers with complete details in the SRAL studio on the appropriate bulletin board.

Guidelines for outside art organizations

To keep SRAL members informed of other artistic opportunities in the Santa Cruz Valley region, Art organizations may submit succinct announcements about upcoming competitions, special events, and educational workshops/classes. These opportunities must be open to all members of SRAL (for example, an open competition would be appropriate but not a competition limited to members of the outside organization.) Workshop details should be limited to the workshop name, date, and website link. Submissions will be included at the editor’s discretion. To supplement the published information, SRAL encourages outside organizations to provide fliers with complete details for the SRAL studio bulletin board.
